There are villas that give you the feeling that half of Mallorca is at your feet. This is the case with Villa Son Delabau Gran. As soon as you reach the spacious property after a short drive from the Mallorcan airport, the feeling of timeless luxury inevitably sets in. Despite the attractive proximity to exciting cities such as Palma or Llucmajor, the view of the surrounding countryside exudes pure rural idyll. And perhaps the vaulted terrace will remind you of those wonderful times in your childhood when you had a special fondness for castles that look like something out of a fairy tale. Narrow steps, which give the impression of an ancient landmark, lead to a pretty roof terrace where you can enjoy the island sun. The pool water glistens seductively in the sun - you might not be able to resist it for long. And why should you? After all, part of the beneficial effect of the water is that the food tastes much better afterwards. Especially when it's prepared in such a cosy outdoor kitchen, which is perfectly equipped for a large BBQ. When you lie on one of the loungers and watch the sunset or use one of the seating areas, such as the pergola or the chill-out lounge, to savour a glass of island wine, you will know that you have done everything right. Wild, romantic roses climb up the stone wall in the entrance area.

When you enter, you find yourself in a house of exceptional quality. There is nothing superfluous here, the minimalist and cosy style is reminiscent of Scandinavian aesthetics, while the finca-like rural charm is still present in almost every corner. A cosy sitting area with a stone bench bathed in warm light, ideal for long nights of storytelling, could become one of your favourite spots in the house. On the other hand, the green sofa overlooking your dream garden might have something to say about that. There are two dining areas. One of them is right next to the aforementioned seating area and the house fountain, while the other dining table is in a larger room. The windows, which vary in size and shape, contribute to the originality of the enchanting ambience. One of the rooms even resembles a chapel with its colourful stained glass window in the ceiling. You can meditate here in the morning, for example, to start the day in a balanced and cheerful mood. The layout of the rooms is very quaint, with the two bedrooms accessed via winding corridors. Each of them has its own bathroom and the small third bedroom is the perfect place for the children to spend time. The natural stone wall elements in the house create a cosy castle atmosphere, which also conveys modernity thanks to the white colour tones and the friendly lighting concept.

You will feel fresh in the morning when you leave the property. The road can be reached quickly, which may result in audible driving noise depending on the wind direction. You are not much more than 10 minutes from Llucmajor, where the lively Placa d'Espana offers a colourful mix of cafés, restaurants and bars. There is a market here twice a week, where you can stock up on fresh vegetables, especially on Fridays. For a shopping spree, we also recommend the 20-minute drive to the vibrant island capital of Palma, which impresses with its diverse cultural offerings. Golf enthusiasts will get their money's worth at the Son Antem golf course, 1 km away. After a half-hour drive, you will find yourself in front of the paradisiacal natural sandy beach of Es Trenc. The journey to the Tramuntana mountains, which are ideal for hiking, takes about the same amount of time. The dreamlike Villa Son Delabau Gran has plenty of space and is located between the dream beach of S'Arenal and Llucmajor, 11 kilometres away. You can drive into town and enjoy the lively atmosphere on the Placa d'Espana. As you are only a 20-minute drive away from the capital Palma, there is plenty to do in the city centre. After a shopping spree, you can relax on the beaches of the south coast, for example at Calo de San Antoni.
