In the Var-region, the right part of Provence, you will find Le Val a few kilometres outside the medieval town of Brignoles. Le Val is on the other side of the mountain ridge that follows the freeway A8 through Provence. The house is right on the outskirts of Le Val in the quiet and peaceful area of Sainte Catherine. In the cosy garden you will find cherry trees and roses. On one side of the house is the pool right on the open terrace. The pool is 150 cm deep and perfect for a cooling dip. Behind the house is a cosy corner where you can have barbeques and enjoy a true Provence evening. The spacious house has a conservatory from which you have access to the large open kitchen with a large dining table where you can relax after a busy day in the area. The kitchen has all amenities for a good holiday. Hall with bedroom on one side and bathroom on the other. The garage has been remodelled with a large window towards the garden and high vaulted ceiling. Here you will find 1 bed and on the other side another bedroom with a double bed. Scullery with washing machine and sun chairs and the electronics for the pool. Visit the old medieval town of Brignoles on the other side of the mountain ridge. On Saturdays it houses the largest town market of Provence on the large square, on weekdays there are a few shops such as butcher and fish vendors where you can do some good shopping. Brignoles also has a lot of large super markets. Right outside the town is le Candelon, a large marble mountain, where mining still goes on. The base of the Statue of Liberty in New York comes from here. The area has a lot of cosy town such as Barjols and Cotignac but if you want to drive a little further, it is approx. 90 km to Marseille, approx. 100 to Nice and approx. 60 km to St. Tropez. Approx. 45 km to a good beach at Toulon/Heyres. There are a lot of celebrities that either live permanently or have summer residencies in the area.

    “Top! Das Haus hat alles, was man braucht, um einen entspannten Urlaub zu genießen. Für 4 Personen ist es völlig ausreichend. Da es über 2 Schlafzimmer verfügt ist es perfekt für eine Familie oder 2 Pärchen, wobei es nur über ein Bad mit Dusche und Waschbecken verfügt. Die Inneneinrichtung ist in Ordnung, der Pool ist super. Es gibt zwei Kühlschränke, ein großer, den wir für die Getränke genutzt haben und ein kleiner in der Küche, den wir für die Lebensmittel genutzt haben. Das Wohngebiet besteht wohl aus Ferienhäusern von Franzosen, es ist sehr ruhig, sehr angenehm und freundlich. Der Autoparkplatz ist auf dem Grundstück, was sehr angenehm ist.”

    “Super schönes Haus in gepflegter Gegend. Weitaus größer und moderner als durch die Bilder erwartet. Schönes, modernes, sauberes Bad, gemütliche Schlafzimmer und 2 Wohnbereiche. Nur die Küche hat schon bessere Zeiten gesehen. Pool ist sauber und liegt von morgens bis nachmittags in der Sonne. Nachbarn gibt es zwar, sie sind jedoch alle sehr ruhig. Haben sich aber auch nicht an unserer, manchmal etwas lauteren, Art gestört. Zum Meer fährt man ca 45 min.”
